Paul will perform and be interviewed on a special hour-long episode of Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report, which will premiere Wednesday, June 12, at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT. Paul is expected to play songs featured on his current Out There World Tour as well as tunes that appear on his recently reissued 1976 live album, Wings over America.

“I think this McCartney kid’s got something special and I’m gonna put him on the map!” quips Colbert Reporthost Stephen Colbert in a statement.
This will be the ex-Beatles star second appearance on The Colbert Report.  In January 2009, he was seen being interviewed for a segment titled “Better Know a Beatle.”
One of  Paul’s performances taped during his visit to the next week’s show will be viewable exclusively online at ColbertNation.com.  The full episode also will be streamed online starting on June 13.
Paul’s Colbert Report appearance will air one day after Rockshow, the video featuring concert footage from the same tour that yielded Wings over America, will be released on DVD and Blu-ray.
