DENNY LANE STARS IN “THE BEATLES ABBEY ROAD COMPLETE” AT THE RIVER CLUB MUSIC HALL

Former member of the Moody Blues and Wings, Laine will serve up ample portions of the tunes he helped shape when he headlines the “Beatles Abbey Road Complete” concert at the River Club Music Hall in Scituate on Saturday, Jan. 26, at 8 p.m.

Denny Laine has a lot on his plate right now, but he’s willing to share some of that delicious music with his fans on the South Shore.

“It’s an interesting show. It should be a good one,” Laine said from his home in Las Vegas. “It’s not only the Abbey Road album – it’s Abbey Road memories, music that was made there not only by the Beatles but by other bands. It’s a pretty complete cross-section of songs that people will know.”
Now 68 and in his sixth decade as a musician/vocalist/songwriter, Laine will share the stage with the Peter Asher Band (sans Asher, of Peter and Gordon fame) in a show that features selections from the Beatles’ 1969 Abbey Road album. That disc – the last one recorded by John, Paul, George and Ringo – includes such classics as “Here Comes the Sun,” “Something” and “Come Together.”
