THE BEATLES LIVE PROJECT LOOKING FOR FAN FOOTAGE

Matt White, the CEO of OVOW Productions which is the company behind the global search for Beatles fan footage to use in a feature film, joined us this morning to tell us a little more about this ambitious project and how fans can get involved.

The Beatles Live Project pinpoints the time that Beatlemania was at its highest between 1963-66 and is looking for any media from concerts, public gatherings, hotels and more all from the fans’ point of view.
“We’re doing this global search for media that was captured by fans at the events of the concert tour,” Matt explained to K-EARTH 101′s Gary Bryan. “We begin in 1963 when the term ‘Beatlemania’ was coined at the Palladium show that was in London and we go all the way through Candlestick Park in 1966.”
So if you have any footage from the Hollywood Bowl shows in ’64 and ’65, Dodger Stadium show in ’66 or anything else in between those dates, Matt invites you to submit your photos, video, audio or anything else you took away from those shows to www.thebeatlesliveproject.com.
“Those are all part of the journey the Beatles were on and the events surrounding that. They hung out at in Los Angeles for days, so any material from the airport, the hotels, or any of the public gatherings…that’s what we’re looking for,” said Matt. “It’s a fan film, it’s a collaborative project.”
The word about the Beatles Live Project is just starting to get out, and Matt says the fan response so far has been incredible and some really unique points of views are being submitted.
“This is a time for the fans to tell their stories,” said Matt. “We just want to make sure what is out there at this point, we find. The idea of this film is to be locked in that period of time.”
