Paul, 70, held the bash at Serafina restaurant, and was seen leaving the venue with a handful of gifts and cards for little Beatrice.Beatrice, eight, doesn't turn nine until Sunday, but Sir Paul and Nancy threw her the special party early, without her mother Heather Mills being present.
Paul knows his way around a guitar but was struggling to carry all of his daughter's gifts as he got into their car.

The Live And Let Die singer found it hard enough to get the bag of goodies on his lap, but once Beatrice got her balloons in the backseat it became even more difficult.
With Sir Paul ducking down as big silver balloons floated above his head, Nancy was seated more comfortably next to him with more than enough space.
While the birthday girl had her hair in pig tails, McCartney looked like any other parent in a pair of jeans with a plain dark blue jacket on.
It is a wonder that the Yesterday songwriter still finds time to spend with his children as he is currently busy working on two music albums.
Under control: The Beatle finally got the situation sorted and made room in his car amongst the birthday gifts and balloons

Music producer Ethan Johns, who has worked with Kings of Leon, told NME that he has been in the studio with the legendary musician.
He said: 'It's sounding great. He's still one of the most extraordinary recording talents.
'There's a song on the record called 'Hosanna' which is absolutely heartbreaking - just Paul and an acoustic guitar. It's gorgeous.'
Johns added: 'I'm not sure what [the plan] is. I'm simply a guy in his phone book he calls up every now and again and asks if I want to do something. And you don't say no to McCartney.'
